What have I been up to?

In May 2023, I graduated from Westmont College with a B.A. in Art! Over the past year, I have been making art in my free time and sharing all my little projects on my Instagram account: @byandtotheland. I still love my watercolors, but I’ve also been playing with new mediums, including crochet, simple animations, oven-baked clay, and more. I’ve also been engaging in several 30-day projects on Instagram, my newest being 30 days of “copying art and giving credit”.

I also had the chance to sell some of my art in the Santa Barbara Rock Gym, do a few commissions, and even have a couple Channel Islands and Joshua Tree NPs postcards in the Santa Barbara REI!

I recently left Santa Barbara to live closer to Red Rock Canyon and Mt. Charleston. Located just outside of Las Vegas, these are some world-class climbing destinations for bouldering, trad, and sport routes. I look forward to watching the land through the seasons, finding new artistic inspiration on my adventures, and ultimately getting to know the land better.
